How is WAA different from other non-profits?

There are two key things you should know about Wreaths Across America. While we are best known for placing wreaths on veterans' headstones during the holiday season, we pursue our mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach throughout the year by promoting events, support services for our veterans and educational programs for youth groups.

The second thing is that for every $17 dollars received as a sponsorship, a wreath will be placed to honor a veteran. Supporters will very clearly be able to see where their money goes, and the impact this symbolic gesture means to our veterans and their families.

We take our mission seriously. When you donate to Wreaths Across America, your contribution is primarily used to sponsor wreaths. Specifically, $0.83 of every dollar donated goes toward wreath sponsorships, covering shipping costs not handled by our trucking partners, and paying back fundraising groups. WAA operates on the remaining funds, keeping overhead low while ensuring employees are compensated. Our Executive Director and Chairman receive no salary and are fully committed to our mission.
