Volunteering at a local event

Modified on Wed, 24 Jan at 8:18 PM

The first step to getting involved at a local Wreaths Across America event is to find a participating location in your area.  This can be done by visiting our search page. From our search page you can search by city, zip code, or cemetery name to help find the nearest location.  When the search results load, click on view next to the location you are interested in.

From their specific page there is a variety of options.  On the left side of the page you will see a wreath counter with an update of how many wreaths have been sponsored to date for that specific location. Above the wreath counter is a "volunteer" button to sign up to volunteer for wreath placement. You can also click the contact button to get in touch with the Volunteer Location Coordinator at that location.  The Volunteer Location Coordinator can answer many of the specific questions you have in regards to that location.

,When you click the Volunteer button and enter the required information, you are now signed up to volunteer.  As the wreath date draws near, the Volunteer Location Coordinator can reach out to all who have signed up to volunteer at their location with details.  Many of the event details will be listed under  "Ceremony and Volunteer Info" located towards the bottom of the page.

Everyone of all ages is welcome to attend a WAA event.  We feel this is a wonderful event for families to share together.
