Can I Pick the Section Where I Want to Place Wreaths at Arlington?

Visitors cannot choose a specific section at Arlington for wreath placement. Wreaths are distributed evenly across the cemetery to ensure every veteran is honored.

If you wish to place a wreath for a particular headstone, we recommend:

• Arriving early (gates open at 8:00 am)
• Having a family member remain at the headstone to kindly ask other volunteers not to place a wreath there.
• Other family members can pick up wreaths from the truck and bring them to the headstone.
• Once gathered, you can place the wreath together as a family.

This process ensures you can honor your loved one while still respecting the tradition of remembrance across all sections.
